Instead of writing assembler code, you write Jal code, which looks like Basic or Pascal. Of course, other high-level languages exist, but Jal is free, open source, pleasant, fun, ... That's why SirBot extensively uses Jal and its libraries. Because you can develop faster, and have a maintainable code.
If you want to learn more about Jal, you'd first have a look at Jalv2 website (Jalv2 is the "next-generation" Jal, used in SirBot). You should also try the jal mailing list (jallist), there're lots of talented, helping people here... Finally, have a look at those following sites, you'll precious information, for the beginner and the expert.
