JAL is high level language, used to program PIC chip. It looks like writing basic/pascal code. They are plenty of librairies, and the community seems to be quite active (dev too). Using such a language would free the SirBot dev from writing painfull asm code...

The Servo Board and its MIC800 is used with the Main Baord, via serial communication. The built-in USART of the 16f628 is used, both for MIC800 com. and PC com. There could be some errors while com between PC/PIC as chars are also sent to the MIC800. The fact the MIC800 baudrate is different from the PIC/PC com. makes those chars non-sense for the MIC800.
See Servo Board page for details.

So, using JAL, adding another RS232 functionality is trivial: use the serial_software lib and that's it. The Servo Board will need to be adjusted according to pins used for this second USART.
